High winds in central Alberta cut power and briefly halt advance voting in Athabasca region
Powerful winds swept central and northern Alberta on October 14 and 15, causing outages that forced temporary closures of two advance voting locations in the Athabasca-Barrhead-Westlock electoral division and disrupted travel for residents and services.
